Official Summary
Justice for Rape Survivors Act
This bill establishes a 30-year statutory mandatory minimum prison term for the following federal sexual abuse offenses:
- causing another person to engage in a sexual act by using force against that person or by threatening or placing that person in fear,
- engaging in or attempting to engage in a sexual act with another person by rendering the other person unconscious or intoxicated,
- causing or attempting to cause another person to engage in a sexual act by threatening or placing that person in fear,
- engaging or attempting to engage in a sexual act if the other person is incapacitated, and
- engaging or attempting to engage in a sexual act without the other person's consent.
